Andy, Adopted November 2019
Andy was adopted by Mark & Westie Bailey. He is living the good life and found his happily ever after home.
ANDY'S ORIGINAL STORY: Andy is a handsome 16 pound, 14 year old boy. He dances to get dressed for his walks & he is very excited for breakfast, lunch & dinner. Andy may be a little hard of hearing and his sight is not perfect, but he is a joy to be around. He is so sweet and gentle and does great with others dogs & people. He moves around the house and yard with ease. He goes up stairs, but does not go down. Andy would like a family that will take him on walks, feed him great food, and provide him a soft pillow bed. His shots are current, he is neutered & microchipped.
Abby, Adopted October 2019
I was adopted by my new Mom, Melodee. She said her house was empty without a little doggie so I filled up that space in her home and in her heart. We do everything together and life could not be any better for either of us. XOXO Abby
ABBY'S ORIGINAL STORY: Abby was in a county shelter and was only available to rescue. She had bladder stones and was in dire need of medical care. We pulled her and she went immediately to our vet for surgery. The bladder stones were removed and she is recovering. Abby is a Westie mix, 7 years old, 18 pounds, and spayed. She is the sweetest little girl and has been quite the trooper. She will be with us for a while, but our vet says that she will have a full recovery. This is one very special little girl and she is waiting for her very own special family.
Racer, now Ace, Adopted October 2019
My new Mom, Amanda, was very sad because Jaxson went to the Rainbow Bridge. She said her home was just too quiet without a Westie and then she saw me on the WROC website. Mom, Jeremy & Colby walked in and I knew instantly they were my new family. I think they did also because they were all smiles and so glad to meet me. We are a very happy family and it is like I have been here forever. XOXO Ace
RACER'S ORIGINAL STORY: I was found wandering the streets and I ended up at the shelter. WROC's associate Debi found me and bailed me out for WROC. Coolest thing ever as I got to fly with Alan & Barbara to the OC. I am 7 years old, but you would think I am a puppy. I am 17 pounds, neutered & microchipped. I love to play and I love to have fun. Hoping to hear from you soon!! XOXO Racer
Rocco, now Rocky, Adopted September 2019

ROCCO'S ORIGINAL STORY: My name is Rocco and and my family just had too many kids with a 2 & 4 year old boys and me, so they called WROC. Walking in the park is my favorite, but I do tangle up my leash sometimes. I am really happy and I get along with everyone. I am 1 year old, I am microchipped, my shots are current and I am freshly neutered. I will not be with WROC very long because I am just ADORABLE!! XOXO Rocco

OLLIE'S ORIGINAL STORY: My name is Ollie. My owner turned me in to WROC because her life changed and she did not have time for me anymore. I had an infection, skin issues, and I felt really bad. But I love my new food and it is helping me heal, along with medicated baths, and vet prescribed medications. I get to go on walks now and I really like that. My foster Mom says that I am very sweet and affectionate. I am 9 years old, 17 pounds, neutered, and microchipped. He is a quiet sweet dog who loves to chase squirrels!

Is this not the happiest picture you have ever seen? Mom Jean, brother Patrick, and me make a perfect family. Life is wonderful and all is right in my world! XOXO Georgie Bailey
GEORGIE B'S ORIGINAL STORY: My name is Georgie B and my owner gave me up because she moved. I lived with her all my life and I suddenly found myself homeless. I was lucky that WROC dropped everything and immediately came for me. I was lethargic and sad on the ride home, but as soon as I saw my new yard and the other Westies, I perked right up. I marched in like I owned the place. I love to walk and I love my food and I love people and dogs. I am a happy boy and I will sit up for my salmon treats. I have dry eye which means my eyes do not produce enough tears, but there are drops for that and I do not even notice.
I am approximately 11 years old, 19 pounds, neutered, and my shots are current. I am a wonderful dog and I am looking for a wonderful life. Is it with you? XOXO Georgie B

I was adopted by Megann and the adorable Dylan. I got a new Mom and a new brother and it was the best day of my life. Dylan and I play like wild dogs and Mom gives us hugs & kisses. XOXO Robbie
ROBBIE'S ORIGINAL STORY: My journey has been hard. I was picked up as a stray and taken to a county shelter. I was matted, really dirty, and covered in fleas. I looked so bad that no one was interested in adopting me. But just in time, WROC found me and recognized my beautiful spirit. I am a Westie mix, approximately 5 years old, 11 pounds, and I am a very happy doggie. I love to play with the other dogs, I love squeaky toys and I walk great on a leash. I am neutered, micro-chipped, and my shots are current. I cannot wait to start my new life. Wonder if it's with you? XOXO Robbie
Our sweet Robbie had cataract surgery and he can see thanks to Eye Care for Animals & Dr. Brinkis. His coat is growing in and he is absolutely adorable.
Charlie, Adopted July 2019
It finally happened, my leg got better & I was adopted by Donna & Westie Tucker. I am so happy to have my very own home again. XOXO Charlie
CHARLIE'S ORIGINAL STORY: My owner turned me in to WROC because she was moving and there was no room in the moving van for me. I was sad, I cried a little, and then I pulled myself together. That's what we Westies do! I am playful, happy, calm, and I love to walk on my leash. I am neutered, microchipped, my shots are current & I weigh about 20 pounds. I am looking for a really nice family that will spend lots of time with me and never leave me again. XO Charlie
Our Charlie tore his cruciate ligament while racing after a squirrel. He is having surgery and will be resting with us for 4-6 weeks.
Polly, Adopted June 2019
I did not have to wait very long before my new Dad, Ron, scooped me up and took me home. We will start obedience training soon and I cannot wait. I want to be the best girl ever for the best Dad ever. We walk and play a lot and I have made some new doggie friends. A new chapter in a new life...it's the best! XOXO Polly
POLLY'S ORIGINAL STORY: My name is Polly & I am a 1 year old, 16 pound, spayed female Westie girl. My family gave me up because we lived in a condo and I was too noisy for the neighbors. My foster Mom calls me a "fireball" as I have huge energy. I play hard and sleep hard, I love to walk in the park, and racing around the yard is a favorite for me. I love my toys and will kill the squeaker every chance I get. I am very smart and would really benefit from obedience training. I am looking for a Westie savvy family who will spend lots of time with me. Hoping that's you! XOXO Polly
Jaime, now Jada, Adopted June 2019
I was adopted by my new Mom, Charli. She grew up with Westies and now she has her very own Westie, ME!! I knew she was the one when she greeted me with Lambchop. It's my favorite toy. We are walking and I have lost a pound or 2 and I am feeling so much better. I am the happiest I have ever been in my life. Feeling thankful, Jada
JAIME'S ORIGINAL STORY: Jamie is a 4 year old spayed female. She is a little plump at 21 pounds, so she is working out to regain her girlish figure. She is a super sweet beautiful girl who really loves her people. She enjoys walking on her leash and is crate trained. She would love a family who is active and loves a Westie princess.
Buddy, Adopted June 2019
WROC sent Agnes & Darrel to the shelter to evaluate Buddy and they fell in love. He is now safe, happy, and living at the beach. We are thankful that we were able to bail him out and find his new family. We have such a wonderful Westie community!
BUDDY'S ORIGINAL STORY: Poor Buddy was wasting away at the shelter. Rumor has it that he was confiscated by the police. To make matters worse, he developed kennel cough while there.
Buddy is approximately 9 years old, 20 pounds, neutered & microchipped.
Bear, Adopted June 2019
I was adopted by new Mom & Dad, Fatima & Stephen and I got a new Westie brother, Teddy. Get it, Teddy & Bear, this family was meant to be for me. I just love them. XOXO Bear
BEAR'S ORIGINAL STORY: My family had a change in circumstances and had to give me up. I am one of the lucky ones because they knew WROC was the best place for me, not the county shelter. I am settling in and having a really good time with the other Westies here. I am 2 years old, my shots are current, & I am microchipped. I weigh in at about 20 pounds, so it looks like I will be working out to shed a few pounds. I am really sweet, playful, and happy. Hugs & Kisses, Bear
Alex, now Linus, Adopted May 2019
I was adopted by Kerry & Phillip & Angus. I am so happy to join this dog-loving family. Just look at my extended family. I zoom around my big backyard and have the greatest time. From the streets to a beautiful home, life is great. XOXO Alex
ALEX'S ORIGINAL STORY: My name is Alex and the shelter found me wandering the streets of Las Vegas. Lucky for me, the shelter picked me up and called WROC. Alan & Barbara jumped in their plane and flew to Las Vegas and brought me to SoCal. What a fabulous Westie community that we have. I have some skin issues that will be healed in no time with baths, medications, and really good food. I am a super happy boy, 3 years old, 14 pounds, neutered, shots are current & microchipped. I even had a quick dental while I was being neutered. I am very active & I love to walk and play. XO Alex

My new name is Scotch and I was adopted by the best Dad ever. Nickolaus. He followed my story from the beginning and knew that I was the dog for him. He was ever so right and now it's me, Ripley & my new Dad. It was so worth the wait for the perfect family. XOXO Scotch
CHESTER'S ORIGINAL STORY: Chester is 7 years old, 16 pounds, current on his shots and microchipped. He came to WROC because his family had a baby so he spent most of the past 2 years in a crate. He has learned obedience training. He can sit, down, stay, shake, and heel. He is a beautiful dog. He is very affectionate and likes to be around other dogs. He loves to play with soft squeaky toys and will entertain himself for hours. Chester will thrive with love and patience. He needs a loving calm family who understands Westietude and will continue his training.
Ellie, Adopted February 2019
It did not take my new Mom & Dad, Liz & Larry, very long to recognize what a catch I am. They took one look at me and it was love at first sight for everyone. I am so happy with my new home where I am the center of attention and loved beyond words. Lots of kisses, Ellie
ELLIE'S ORIGINAL STORY: My name is Ellie and I am an 8 year old, 12 pound, adorable Cairn Terrier. My family had a baby and there was no time or yard for me, so they called WROC. I am a happy go lucky little girl and bounded right into my foster home with ease. I love the other dogs here and I love to have fun. I am so cute and sweet that my foster Mom says that I will not be in rescue very long. It will be a very lucky family who adopts me. I am spayed, my shots are current, and I am microchipped. XOXO Ellie
Petey, Adopted January 2019
Petey was purchased from a pet store. His new owners quickly realized that a puppy was just too much for them. Lucky for Petey and lucky for us, they called WROC. We jumped on a plane, flew to Nevada, and brought this adorable doggie to southern CA.
Joey took him to the beach and he loved it. Coach Migz put him on a surfboard and he loved it. We took him to two surf events and he won 2nd & 3rd place and he was not even a year old. He's a natural they said and that was that. Petey became a part of the WROC pack. (Joey on the left, Petey on the right)
Oliver, Adopted January 2019
Oliver was an owner turn in because the family had a baby. He was adopted by Alan & Barbara who have done a wonderful job training him. He joins their family, along with Scooter & Wiley, both WROC rescues.
He loves to swim, fly in airplanes, & ride in any type of vehicle!
