Casey, Adopted October 2022

I was adopted by Barbara & Mark. I am joining Scooter and Bentley in this Westie-loving household. I love my Westie brothers and I settled in so quickly, it is like I have always lived here. I am a happy boy. XOXO Casey

CASEY’S ORIGINAL STORY: I am a handsome 6 year old, 20 pound, Westie boy. My owner made the difficult decision to give me to WROC due to family circumstances changing. I am house and leash trained. I love walks in the park, playing with my ball, and dinnertime! I enjoy sitting next to my people on the couch, watching some TV, and catching a little nap. I am neutered, my shots are current, and I am microchipped.

I was adopted by Yvonne & Ben and there is no better place in the world for me. I adore them & Mom says I am super sweet and loving. I am home for the holidays & so happy about it. XOXO Mandy

MANDY’S ORIGINAL STORY: I was picked up by animal control and taken to the county shelter. Thankfully, the shelter contacted WROC and they came for me. Turns out I am a white Schnauzer, approx 3-4 years old & 17 pounds. I am a super sweet little girl, both house & crate trained. I am spayed, my shots are current, & I am microchipped. I am just waiting for the perfect family. XOXO Mandy

I was adopted by the greatest folks ever!  Karen and Bill welcomed me to their beautiful home overlooking the ocean and there are chipmunks here! I am forever grateful and so happy to be home!

CARL’S ORIGINAL STORY: Carl is a Maltese mix, 5 years old, 9 pounds, and was found wandering the streets of LA. He was horribly matted & covered in foxtails. He had foxtails removed, a dental & bloodwork, & his shots are current & he is microchipped. Carl also had hip surgery (FHO) to correct a rotating hip. He recovered beautifully & enjoys his walks.

We were adopted by Peter, Nadia & 2 great kids, Zoe & Max. Dad Peter writes: “You have no idea how much we love these little guys. We are so happy with them & they love us! They are the best dogs and so beautiful. We are so grateful for you bringing them into our lives. Our family feels complete.”

MILEY & MONTY’S ORIGINAL STORY: Miley & Monty were picked up on the streets by animal control. The shelter was at capacity & asked WROC to take these babies. Of course, we said yes. Miley & Monty are Maltese mixes. She is 6 months, 8 pounds, current on shots & is microchipped. Monty is is 3 months, 7 pounds, current on shots & is microchipped. Both are very sweet, cuddly, & affectionate

Hailey, Adopted Sep 2022, WROC’s 600th Adoption!!

I was adopted by 2 of WROC’s favorite people, Jill & Dave. I have a new sister, WROC alum Fiona. I am living the life with a great backyard, lots of walks, & great food. And the toys, did I mention the toys? Balls to chase, squeaky toys to squeak! I never knew my life would be so good! XOXO Hailey

HAILEY’S ORIGINAL STORY: Hailey ended up in rescue because her 90 year old owner couldn't take care of a young, spry dog. Hailey just turned 5 years old and desperately wants to enjoy a yard, be taken for daily walks and fed a proper and healthy diet. She has a few pounds to lose and some minor skin issues that will resolve quite quickly. She had her vet checkup & is in good health.

I was adopted by Jean & Honey. I am so very happy to be with my wonderful new Mom & Honey is an added bonus! Mom writes: “Thank you for such a precious little man. He & Honey are getting along so well. He has his forever home right inside my heart!!”

WYATT’S ORIGINAL STORY: I am a 5-6 year old, 17 pound Westie-Schnauzer mix. I was found wandering the streets & turned in to the shelter. The shelter called WROC & they picked me right up. My hair is shaved down because I had a ear & skin infection which is healing nicely. I am leash & crate trained, and I will sit for a cookie. My shots are current & I am neutered. If you are looking for a cuddly doggie, I’m your man!

I was adopted by Lisa and her wonderful pack of doggies. I am enjoying all of the attention and my skin gets better every day. I am a fun couch companion because I really like watching TV, especially the animal shows. XOXO Oliver

OLIVER’S ORIGINAL STORY: I am a very sweet 4 year old, 16 pound, Westie boy. My owner had a baby and my skin issues that were hard for her, so she did the best thing for me and called WROC. Baths, meds, & great food have me looking and feeling so much better. I love walking in the park, hanging out on the couch & playing with squeaky balls. I am crate, leash, & house trained, my shots are current & I am neutered.

My new family is these guys, Nate & Ryan. They are 2 of the coolest guys and I have them wrapped around my paw. I love my new big backyard and my squeaky toys. They spend a lot of time with me and I am a very happy girl. Did you notice the wine is named after me? XOXO Poppy

POPPY’S ORIGINAL STORY: This adorable baby came to WROC because her owner was moving. She is 13 weeks old, 7 pounds, and just had her 3rd round of shots. She loves her toys and is full of mischief. She sleeps all night and adores her puppy food. Her new family will need Westie experience, time, and patience to teach Poppy about living her best life!

I was adopted by Mikee & Jocelyn and we are great. I adjusted quickly to my new home & make sure that I protect it! My toys are everywhere and when Mom puts them up, I take them all out & toss them around! So fun!! XOXO Emmie

EMMIE’S ORIGINAL STORY: My name is Emmie & I am an 1 year old, 11 pound, Malti-poo. Animal control found me wandering the streets and took me to the county shelter. I was so matted that I had to be shaved down. When my rescue angel came for me, I took one happy look and jumped into her arms. I give great kisses, & love to sit in your lap. My shots are current, I am microchipped, & I am spayed.

I was adopted by Chris, Johan, Loulou, Lukas, & Issac. This is such a great family for me. Dad says I moved right in like I have always lived here. Loulou & I love to play and Lukas & Issac tolerate our behavior. I am so happy. Edgar

SAMMY’S ORIGINAL STORY: My name is Sammy & I am an adorable 4 1/2 year old Westie. I am playful and love to play ball & chase lizards. I like all the other dogs and people that I meet. I am crate & leash trained. I would like an active family that will spend a lot of time with me & continue my training to make me the best doggie ever! I am neutered, my shots are current & I am microchipped.

COOKIE’S ORIGINAL STORY: My name is Cookie. The county shelter found me wandering the streets. No one came for me & I was sad, but WROC was watching over me and bailed me out as soon as I was available. I am a 1 year old Cairn terrier mix, 12 pounds, spayed, shots are current & I am micro-chipped. I am very sweet & I give great kisses. I am hoping for a sweet family with laps for sitting & soft hands for petting.

HAILEY’S ORIGINAL STORY: I am a 3 year old, 15 pound, Westie-poo. The shelter called WROC because I have a fractured pelvis that they could not treat properly. I have some recovery to do but the vet says I will be good as new in a short time. I am a very sweet girl & I really like to be around my people. I will follow you everywhere. I like soft squeaky toys, antler bones, & spending time with my people.

Two of the most sweetest, warm and loving people adopted me today. When they look at me, they don’t see a senior girl. They only see unconditional true love. Rick and Debbie are driving me home to join Jack and Charlie. ~Lainey

LAINEY’S ORIGINAL STORY: This little gem was surrendered to the animal shelter by her owner but thanks to our friend Veronica, she didn’t have to stay there for very long. Seniors are a big deal to us so we jumped into action and brought her home to WROC. Lainey is super sweet and gentle. She is 14 years old, 18 pounds, spayed, microchipped and current on her shots. Her appetite is healthy & she is happy.

I was adopted by Jeremy & Kurt & Finley. It is the best family for me and my new brother is a great playmate. We play hard and it is so much fun. Dad says I am bossy, I am a Westie girl after all, but he loves me anyway. XOXO Mimi

MIMI’S ORIGINAL STORY: My owners were moving and there was no room in the van for me. But I am a tough little Westie girl and I moved on in style. I am a 3 1/2 years old, 15 pounds bundle of energy. I am a happy girl and I really like to run & play. I would love a playmate. I am now spayed, my teeth were cleaned, my shots are current & I am microchipped. I am ready to move on to my next adventure.

CHARLIE’S ORIGINAL STORY: My owner could not care for me. She did not remember to feed me and was unable to take me on walks. Sometimes I was tied to a chair, life was not good. The family intervened & found WROC. i am an active 12 year old, 25 pound boy. I like to walk & enjoy the attention I am now getting. I have been groomed, neutered, my teeth cleaned & shots updated. I have trust issues & would like a family who will be patient & kind.

FIONA’S ORIGINAL STORY: Fiona is our Christmas miracle doggie. The family of her elderly owner turned her into the shelter on Christmas eve, so very sad. As soon as the shelter was open, we brought this little girl home. She is a beautiful Westie, 9-11 years old & 14 pounds. She will need eye drops for treatment of dry eye. She absolutely adores walking briskly in the park, is house & crate trained. Fiona only asks for a forever family that will never abandon her again.

MARCO’S ORIGINAL STORY: I was found wandering the streets by animal control. I was so bedraggled and pathetic that the shelter called WROC who came for me immediately. I was scared, in very bad shape, extremely matted, eyes & ears were crusted, not neutered, & in need of a dental. The vet estimates I am 10-12 years old. I am 22 pounds, now neutered, shots are current, dental done, and microchipped. We think I am a Westie Corgi mix. I am so sweet & love being petted. I like other dogs, short walks, & my yummy food.

ALLIE’S ORIGINAL STORY: I am a gorgeous 3 1/2 year old, 18 pound Westie girl. My family called WROC because I am a bit of a jealous girl and I want all of the attention to myself. I am spayed, my shots are current and I am microchipped.

I am really sweet but I prefer a family where I am the only dog and no other pets.
