OUR MISSION
Westie Rescue of Orange County & Beyond (WROC) is an IRS recognized 501(c)(3) charitable corporation serving all of California. Our mission is to rescue, rehabilitate and find homes for West Highland White Terriers, to help control the animal population by spaying and neutering our dogs before they are placed in permanent homes, and to provide the public with education about our breed and its needs.

PEDIGREE AWARDS GRANT TO WROC!!

Westie Rescue of Orange County & Beyond is the proud recipient of the Pedigree Foundation Grant. The Pedigree Foundation provides grants to more than 500 qualifying 501c3 animal shelters and breed rescue organizations.
WROC is grateful to the Pedigree Foundation for their support. The grant enabled us to help the Senior Westies in our care. Perry, Heather and Bradley have benefited from the generosity of The Pedigree Foundation.

We are looking for special folks who would like to open their home to a senior or older pup. Older pups still have a lot of love to give and many of our Westies do not even act their age. Will you open your heart and home to one of these beautiful senior Westies? They want nothing more than the chance to enjoy the rest of their lives in a home where they will be loved. Please see Perry's page for more information about senior pets.

WROC RECEIVES GRANT
WROC is the proud recipient of a grant from MADDIE'S FUND for our tireless work on behalf of our West Highland White Terriers, our dedication to our non-profit rescue, and our many successes in our first year
OUR MISSION

WHO WE ARE
Westie Rescue of Orange County & Beyond is an all volunteer based corporation with no paid positions, dedicated to saving the lives of forgotten West Highland White Terriers by rescuing stray animals from shelters that have not been adopted, reclaimed by their owners, or abandoned. Our rescues are cared for in private homes where they receive medical care and rehabilitation. WROC supports the "no kill" philosophy.
We specialize in Westie skin issues, work with a behaviorist for special needs dogs, and senior Westies have a special place in our hearts.

WROC is not affiliated with any other Westie rescue group in the Southern CA area. We are the only recognized 501(c)(3) non profit corporation in California recognized by the West Highland White Terrier Club of America and all of our funds and efforts go to the rescue and support of our Westies.

Our primary focus is securing loving homes for unwanted, neglected and/or abused animals. We take particular care in placing our Westies. Our screening process includes an application, reference checks, interview and a home visit to ensure the home and family is compatible with the pet’s needs and our requirements. We request owners to sign a contract obliging them to contact us if they cannot provide for the animal for any reason. We will always take our rescues back if the adoption does not work out.

How We Do It
Westie Rescue of Orange County & Beyond (WROC) was founded in the summer of 2008 by a group of dedicated volunteers. We would not be able to continue this important work without our network of volunteers, foster families, supporters and our adopters that have opened their hearts to a rescued Westie.
